    Local 73  some open calls for work at paper mill in Lewiston Idaho.  Work starts June 1st and they’re working 7-12’s for 14 days straight. Currently there are 11 openings for Dayshift and 7 for Nightshift. Nightshift pays an additional 15%.  The scale is $31 on the check. The work is for Van Ert Electric out of Wisconsin. (Licensing not a concern on this project)

    Effective with January, 2016, all applicants on the out-of-work lists can bid for jobs over the phone. This includes Books II, III & IV.  Please read the new referral procedure in its entirety.

    SIGNING THE OUT-OF-WORK BOOK

    If you are coming from another Local Union, in order to sign the books, you must have a current dues receipt, travel letter and picture ID.

    You may sign the out-of-work book Monday thru Friday, between 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

    and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

    Confirmation is once each calendar month in person, by post card or by fax.

    Your signature is REQUIRED to confirm.

    NEED TO BRUSH UP ON YOUR WELDING ?

    Booth time can be purchased at Columbia Basin College in Pasco to practice welding for $50 for ten hours or $100 for 20 hours.  There is no formal instruction, but an instructor would probably offer advice when you are practicing.  Nights and afternoons are available.  Contact Chris Mitchell at 509-544-4924 and mention that you are an IBEW electrician.
